Wood Lake Post Master Ceremonies
A very special event took place on August 22nd as Wood Lake held a special swearing in ceremony for Carl Tucker. Carl and his wife Winnifred resided in Ainsworth for eleven years and he worked as a city carrier for the same number of years.
Prior to working for the United States Post Office Carl and his wife farmed and ranched at Lindsay, Nebraska. They have nine children with two attending final years at college. From May 2005 Carl worked as officer in charge at the Wood Lake Post Office. Attending this ceremonies were Ainsworth Postmaster Alane Lentz, D. Painter, Basset Postmaster, Ainsworth Retired Postmaster, Donna Jensen, Postmaster Colleen Higgins from Halsey, Nebraska. Colleen was in charge of this ceremony.
Attending this ceremony were many Wood Lake and community members. Cake and coffee was served following this event. Carl communicates from Ainsworth to Wood Lake on a daily basis during the work week. The community of the Wood Lake is very happy having Carl as their Postmaster.
