Wood Lake Library

Library History
This brick building which is now "The Wood Lake City Hall" was in the beginning the Wood Lake Bank. In
1930's during the depression, the bank closed. In the 1940's the bank became the Wood Lake Library. Many of
books were donated from families in the area. Some time during that time the jail cell was erected in the back
of the Library. The Library closed in the 60's and later became the Village Hall.
The bank vault, Jail cell, and the Library is still intact. The library consists of several hundred books many
dating back to the mid and late 1800's. If you have questions or would like to visit, call the Village Hall - at 402-967-3054 or Mrs Ferguson at the ranch.
